I on Saturday fished a remote area where there’s no cell phone coverage. A day for hard work. Water was high and cold. At a long river, I saw only one other angler the whole day. All the sane people were at home. But, saw some rainbows. More photos below.

Happy Christmas Eve
Was up before dawn and was all done by noon. The river was quiet. Snow became sleet and became freezing rain. There are few people out on the water in the winter, particularly when there’s precipitation. I love it. It’s a favorite time for me to be out there. Snow all around, treacherous ice on
A Second Try
After yesterday’s surprise, I decided to head back out. I prepped Sunday Dinner in the morning and was on the water by 10 a.m. It all worked out. An unexpectedly high-volume day. Some of my favorite fish are below. Grateful for a beautiful day.
Making Do
