Thriving in a Relationship with an Entrepreneur

Brad Feld and his wife, Amy Batchelor, have written a book on thriving in a long-term relationship with an entrepreneur.

I just read it in one sitting.  It is that good.

Entrepreneurs are most definitely interesting people, driven by some usually deep needs for achievement and/or independence. So, being married to one does pose challenges.

I think this book does a great service.  Here’s the review I wrote on Amazon.com:

What a great book!

Authors Amy and Brad have written a very insightful book on long-term relationships. They cover topics such as personality styles, communication, money and SEX. They unflinchingly talk about Brad’s first marriage, which ended in divorce, and Amy’s ‘touch of social phobia.’

Most touching are the many real-life anecdotes the authors share about their own marriage as well as the many interesting comments from other couples.

I particularly like the practical pointers the authors make, and how they offer them in a non-judgmental way.

Buy this book. Read this book.

  1. This does seem like a really interesting book. I just purchased the Kindle version. I look forward to reading it.

I’ve been with my wife for about 7 years and she has gotten to see the whole process of my entrepreneurial growth. She actually wrote a couple blog posts related to this – one when she was my girl friend in 2009 and another once we got engaged in 2010.
