Well, I’m happy to report that we had a fun and restful Thanksgiving.
We hosted, and I did a lot cooking (see “Since My Mom Died….”). I’ve provided links to the recipes, if they’re online:
- Thursday lunch: Glazed ham, home-made bread, brie en croute, fruit.
- Thursday dinner: Brined herb-crusted turkey with cider gravy (see photo above), ham, mashed potatoes with bacon, roast squash with cranberries, assorted veg., cranberry sauce, and rolls. My wife baked some amazing pies.
- Friday breakfast: Home-made coffee cake, fruit.
Not much to say other than Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday: food, family, football, and some days of rest.
