We’re happy to announce that our family angel program (back 80+ entrepreneurs over eight years and donate all gains to charity; details here) has invested in Juicebox. It is our 26th investment so far (portfolio here).
The company is not saying much about what it is doing, but I can include the following from this Y Combinator profile: “Juicebox is a zero-commission marketplace to hire independent tech talent. Companies get subscription-based access to vetted talent; independents get the opportunity to grow their business without relying on an agency.”
One of my former students, Richard Pettey, introduced us to Co-Founder David Paffenholz. In a quirk of fate, I guest-spoke at a Harvard College class in which David was a student, and Richard Pettey was a TA for the course. Small world!
Thank you, David, for letting us invest! Thank you, Richard, for the referral!
