Angel Investment: RemoteHQ

Our family angel program (details here) just invested in RemoteHQ (previously known as Cyclops.io).

RemoteHQ

I first met Founder Waikit Lau in 2001, and we’ve stayed in touch over the years. In fact, when I was thinking of starting up a family angel program, I reached out to some trusted friends for feedback, and he was one of them.

Waikit is an entrepreneur’s entrepreneur. He just loves solving problems, and he is completely obsessed with RemoteHQ. Waikit also is an awesome human being.

His new company makes video conferencing and screen-sharing super simple: there is no download or log-in required. It integrates with Slack and has some cool apps, such as real-time audio transcription. And, he gave us a sneak-preview of the incredible things coming down the pipe. It’s very impressive.

The goal is to be a frictionless platform, but I’ll defer to Waikit when and how he unveils the company’s long-term vision.

Thank you, Waikit, for letting us invest!
