Little Big Diner’s Ramen

It’s true: I’m obsessed with ramen. It’s 5 a.m., and I’m thinking about it.

Warm broth. Noodles with bite. Toppings loaded with umami. Affordable. I mean, what’s not to like?

So, it was with great joy that I discovered Little Big Diner. I’ve had plenty of ramen over the years, and I have to say that their version is absolutely packed with robust flavor. Sesame seeds, sesame oil, some mild chili powder, and green onions all complement the extremely dark and rich broth. Throw in some nori, a perfectly-cooked soft egg, corn, and some protein, and you have there a party in a bowl.

And, the noodles. Ah, those noodles. Springy and soft. Few people know that the best noodles incorporate alkaline water to give it a supernatural al dente texture. There’s plenty of that at Little Big Diner’s version.

So, hit this local spot. Lines are long, but so worth it.
